  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Make the Meatballs: In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and Cajun seasoning. Mix well and form into small meatballs.
  2. Brown the Meatballs: In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté Vegetables: In the same pot, add onion, bell pepper, carrots, and celery. Sauté until the vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the Broth: Stir in the chicken or beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and additional Cajun seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer: Return the meatballs to the pot and reduce heat to low. Let the stew simmer for 20-30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the meatballs to cook through.
  6. Serve: Ladle the stew into bowls, garnish with chopped green onions, and enjoy!
